Also known as Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, Saint Edith was a child from a Jewish family. She converted to Catholicism when she realized her lack of faith in Judaism. During Hitler's reign, she fled to Holland with her sister. Both were captured and died in the concentration camp at Auschwitz. She a patron of martyrs and loss of parents. Feast day August 9.

Also known as Erasmus, Saint Elmo is venerated as the patron saint of sailors. Elmo is also one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers. Elmo once continued preaching even after a thunderbolt struck the ground beside him. This prompted sailors, who were in danger from sudden storms and lightning to claim his prayers. The electrical discharges at the mastheads of ships are a sign of his protection and came to be called "Saint Elmo's Fire." Besides mariners, Elmo is invoked against colic in children, intestinal ailments and diseases, cramps, and the pain of women in labor.
