18 x 24 inch canvas is a digital reproduction of the full work - not a detail section. This glorious canvas is mounted on real wood strechers and is framed in a museum quality, ornate gold frame. Overall size is 24 x 30 inches.
Cardinal Giulio de' Medici (the future pope Clement VII) commissioned two paintings for the cathedral of S. Giusto of Narbonne, the city of which he had become bishop in 1515. The Transfiguration was entrusted to Raphael, and the Raising of Lazarus (now in the National Gallery of London) to Sebastiano del Piombo. The Transfiguration was not sent to France because after Raphael's death (1520), the cardinal kept it for himself, subsequently donating it to the church of S. Pietro in Montorio where it was placed over the high altar. more... Item #43394

16 x 20 inches in size this is a digital canvas reproduction of the famed iconic relic of Poland.
Although the icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa, also known as the Black Madonna, has been intimately tied with Poland for the past six hundred years, its history prior to its arrival is shrouded in numerous legends which trace the icon's origin back to St. Luke who, it is believed, painted it on a cypress table top from the home of the Holy Family. The miracles and devotion to her date back to as early as 326AD in Constantinople, where it is said she resided for 500 years before she moved to Poland.
This beautiful digital reproduction canvas is mounted on real wood stretchers and is framed in a museum quality frame. Overall size is approx. 22 x 26 inches. Item #44599
