Steve Angrisano is one of the best contemporary songwriters around, and his fourth album only adds to the evidence. These 11 songs will become staples for contemporary liturgies, prayer services, youth group events - and young people with headphones -everywhere.
Steve's superbly crafted songs welcome us to discover God's kingdom in our everyday lives. "Even in the rush and crush, the thunder of this world," he sings in "Follow Me," the exhilarating opening track, "there's a gentle whisper in my heart saying, 'I am your God, there is no other. Follow me!'" Offering a delectable array of guitar-, mandolin- and Hammond organ-spiced praise and worship tracks, Welcome Home helps us hear that gentle whisper and find our way back to God's embrace. In the Spirit of Taize, a new American recording of the music of Taize, was recorded live at Ascension Church in Oak Park, Illinois under the direction of David Anderson.
Since October of 1992, on the first Friday of each month, Ascension Church has welcomed Christians from many traditions to pray in the spirit of the Taize Community. Praying in word, song, and silence, the gathering has grown from an initial group of 30 people to over 800 people each month, including both local Chicagoans as well as visitors from around the world. The purpose of this ecumenical gathering is to pray for peace and reconciliation throughout the world. Together, all who attend raise their voices in song, and as one worshiping body, they lift their hearts in reverent silence. more... Item #35153

This album is an invitation to examine the many influences coming from the world, and our response to the call to have it all and fulfill ourselves.
"Ordinary Time" dismisses the allure of media hyped lifestyles. Many songs address the idea that time is a treasure, not to be wasted on self-absorption. While several songs bemoan the busy-ness of modern life and the resulting decline in the quality of love, others delve into the beauty and sanctity of life and the wasteland of victim-hood. This collection calls attention back to the nobility of living an ordinary life marked by loyalty and love.
Through her light acoustic style, she offers hope and encouragement to those willing to sacrifice for marriage and family.

Marie's smooth voice and storytelling lyrics combine familiar detail and a gentle sense of humor to sing of the everyday life of a mother and wife striving for holiness in the modern world. Through her light acoustic style, she offers hope and encouragement to those willing to sacrifice for marriage and family.
"My witness is really just to show up with my kids at the grocery store. For me, that is where the culture war is fought. My music is my way to encourage those who want to rebel against the self-centered misery of our time. To make sacrifices for marriage and children is not stupidity or victimization. It is the noblest thing we do. I want to tell other mothers that they are not crazy or alone. If my music can do that, it will all be worthwhile." - Marie Bellet Item #29454

As excited as we all are by a best-of Booth collection --and let there be no doubts that this is a HUGE release, something we've all wanted for a long time --it begs the question: how did they ever pick the tracks? Talk about a daunting task: try narrowing down Tom's stellar discography --six albums, upwards of 100 songs, and more on the way --to just one disc. This collection is an ear-pleasing mix of time-tested favorites, Unity Award winners, and hits from his most recent album, Unravel.
Recorded partly at Abbey Road Studios in London, famous their Beatles albums, The Best of Tom Booth is a no-brainer must-have for Booth fans. For those who aren't familiar with him, it's an excellent introduction to one of contemporary Catholic music's most gifted artists. Item #39231

This beautifully packaged disc features 13 original songs that alternate exhilarating rock and soulful blues with alt-country --marked by slide guitar --and reflective ballads.
It starts with a steady, electric bass and drums, then weaves a haunting, distorted guitar with a fierce rap about the mysteries of our faith. Then come samples of someone speaking slowly, with a heavy accent: "You young people, ask yourselves: Do I believe these words of Jesus in the Gospel?" Suddenly, as you tap your foot to the intoxicating rhythm, you realize it's the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II. Only Tom Booth could pull this off.
This is only the beginning of "Taste of Heaven," the Unity-Award-winning rock epic that anchors Tom's latest album. more... Item #18034

Introducing Ceili Rain, one of best-kept secrets in contemporary Christian music. Described as a cross between the Beatles and the Chieftains, this talented group adds button accordion, bagpipes, tin whistle and fiddle to the usual guitars and drums to create a flamboyant, Celtic-Irish flavored pop-rock sound you can't resist. Change in Your Pocket, their fourth and most recent album - and they're first for spirtiandsong proves they continue to perfect this unique and mirthful style.
"Ceili Rain creates music that is thought-provoking and smile-inducing. The talented sextet has built a rabid following by touring the world, from Rome to Syracuse, N.Y. This is one of those rare albums that captures the vibrant showmanship that makes the band's concerts so potent. more... Item #34725

This recording of Gregorian Chant from the gloriae Dei Cantores Schola celebrates the Feast of the Resurrection, which is rooted in the earliest centuries of Christian worship.
This "celebration of celebrations" is a time for rebirth, and this recording reflects that sense of personal renewal and joy. The Chants of Easter includes the Propers of Easter Day and chants for the octave of Easter -- daily services that are part of the week-long celebration of the Easter miracle. These chants are conveyed with careful attention to subtleties in the ancient Gregorian notation, inviting listeners to share the experience of Christ's resurrection in all its richness.
